Canadian guard joins the Dons after starting 17 games as a freshman at Pittsburgh

TORONTO / SAN FRANCISCO — Tonbara Sports & Entertainment is proud to announce that client Jayda Queeley will transfer to the University of San Francisco women's basketball program for the 2026-27 season.

Queeley, a 5-10 guard from Edmonton, Alberta, joins the Dons after her freshman season at Pittsburgh in the ACC. She started 17 of 31 games, averaging 2.2 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 2.1 assists in 17.3 minutes per game.

A dynamic playmaker with elite court vision, Queeley became just the fourth freshman in Pittsburgh program history to record eight or more assists in a game — achieving the feat against Mount St. Mary's on November 8, 2025, and becoming the first Panther to do so since the 2016-17 season. She recorded career-highs of eight points against both Saint Francis and NC State, and pulled down a career-high eight rebounds in 33 minutes against the Wolfpack in the season finale.

Before her collegiate career, Queeley was among Canada's most decorated prep prospects. She helped Royal Crown School in Toronto win the WNPA and Grind Session Championships in 2025 and was named Most Valuable Player of the 2025 All-Canadian Game. Internationally, she helped Team Canada win silver at the FIBA U16 Americas Championship in 2023 and was named a U17 First Team All-Star in 2024 and a U15 Second Team All-Star in 2022.

Queeley also competed on the Nike EYBL Circuit with Kia Nurse Elite 17U, further developing her game against top competition across North America.

"Jayda is an excellent addition to our program," USF Head Coach Molly Goodenbour said upon announcing the transfer. "Her size, athleticism, and versatility will allow her to fit well into our offensive and defensive schemes. She is a thoughtful, intelligent young woman, and I think her best basketball is ahead of her."

"This transfer positions Jayda for significant growth and opportunity," said Deion Adams, VP of Basketball at Tonbara Sports & Entertainment. "Coach Goodenbour's system is an ideal fit for her skill set, and we're excited to support her continued development at USF."

Tonbara Sports & Entertainment is a full-service athlete representation agency licensed across FIFA, FIBA, and PWHLPA, with offices in Toronto, Miami, New York, and Los Angeles.
