Tonbara Sports & Entertainment Signs Calgary Dinos Forward Daniel Chijioke for NIL Representation

Alberta provincial champion joins the basketball division

TORONTO / CALGARY — Tonbara Sports & Entertainment is pleased to announce the signing of Daniel Chijioke for NIL representation.

Chijioke is a 6-7 freshman forward for the University of Calgary's Dinos men's basketball program. The Fort McMurray, Alberta, native arrives in Calgary after leading Holy Trinity Catholic High School to the Alberta 3A provincial championship in 2024.

In the championship final, Chijioke scored 37 points in an 85-84 overtime win over top-seeded Strathmore — a statement performance that announced him as one of Alberta's top prospects. He showed his potential at the next level during preseason play at the Baha Mar Hoops tournament, where he recorded blocks and disrupted the defence against NCAA Division I competition.

Chijioke is studying Kinesiology in Calgary. His brother David currently plays for Acadia University.
